Loon is part two of my contribution to the group exhibition Noni which was presented at Salone del Mobile, Ventura Lambrate, Milan 2016.

Loon light was formed around a process. In order to create the light’s shade. discarded wood chips from felled trees is mixed with porcelain slips. When the porcelain is fired at over 1000 degrees, the wood burns away, These chips become important in their absence as the voids which remain add a natural and uneven quality of the light.
